Currently a Senior Psychology Major at Wichita State University with a 3.77 GPA. I am also a teaching assistant at a High School in USD 353 in Kansas. My specialties are Algebra and Mathematics.
Experience
I have taken numerous classes on teaching as that was my first choice in a major. I recently decided to venture into Educational Psychology and will be beginning my Master's degree next year. Many of the students I assist with in my current job have learning disabilities so I am very familiar with the needs of dyslexia, ADD, ADHD as well as many behavioral and emotional challenges that can intervene with education. I find that many students who have issues in learning simply need a different perspective of what they are attempting to learn. I try to take varied approaches that are tailored to the learner.

Hobbies
I try to make learning fun, as I find that humor can make a learning environment more conducive. Encouragement is key in building confidence and the reward is the knowledge itself. My philosophy in teaching is that I am replaceable: If I'm doing my job correctly, it is evident when I am no longer needed. I also am a piano teacher, and love to teach about music as well.
